Established in 1999, the 11th edition of Santa Fe Film Festival moves to October 20 -24, 2010 to take full advantage of the natural splendor of the Southwestern region. Santa Fe Film Festival will collaborate with film organizations throughout the city to present a curated selection of 50 film programs over 5 days. Filmmakers, journalists, industry leaders and audiences from around the world gather together in this relaxed, intimate setting to experience the year's most interesting contemporary films while also giving a nod to cinema's history. The festival program includes narrative and documentary features, shorts, special screenings of archival restorations and retrospectives. Embracing the full spectrum of cinematic arts, Santa Fe Film Festival extends beyond screenings in theaters to panels, workshops, youth programs, art exhibitions and opportunities for meeting and sharing ideas. The Santa Fe Film Festival (SFFF) is a cultural, not-for-profit 501 (c)(3).

The Santa Fe Film Festival (SFFF) is a cultural, not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization whose mission is to recognize and celebrate the art of cinema in all forms by showcasing New Mexico, national and international films and filmmakers. Through its exhibition, education and community development programs, SFFF is building, stimulating and entertaining audiences. The festival supports and encourages filmmakers by offering essential networking opportunities and open dialogues with intelligent and inquisitive consumers and industry professionals. By attracting local, national and international markets, the festival promotes the city of Santa Fe and the state of New Mexico as a cultural center that contributes to the financial and cultural success of the city and the state.
