SANTA FE NEW MEXICAN

Celebrate film biz

Santa Fe celebrates 2014 as another record year for film, and begins prepping for a bright future with House of CardsLongmire, Manhattan and more. That’s thanks to the state’s incentives and marketing efforts of the city through its Film Office and “Shoot Santa Fe” cooperative.

It’s not just a time to celebrate; it’s an opportunity for Santa Feans to connect their goods and services with customers who are used to spending millions a week.

Santa Fe Film Festival, the city, state and IATSE 480 have designated this weekend, Dec. 5-7, as “Tune Up.” Manhattan will be screened at Jean Cocteau Cinema. There will be free head shots provided, two casting calls, events, panels and workshops. Best thing is, with help from our generous sponsors, it’s free!

Film is a big part of our economy. Join us this weekend, www.santafefilmfestival.com/tune-up.html.
