Makboub is a captivating family drama short film about Hope, a ten-year-old girl with unusual powers and a deep feeling of not belonging. Through a mix of genres, including multicultural, historical, magical realism, drama, and fiction, the film takes viewers on a journey of self-discovery as Hope tries to understand her visions and find her place in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hope’s love of art, nature, and animals, as well as her spiritual connections with a Curandera and Native American Shaman, help her navigate the challenges of bullying and isolation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
