Jessie Bridges<\/a><\/span>\u2014daughter of Producer\/Actor Jeff Bridges\u2014is an emerging singer and songwriter. When Jessie\u2019s father asked her to work with him on the film \u201cTrue Grit,\u201d their first stop was Santa Fe, NM. After a benefit concert, Jeff and Jessie played with local band \u201cDaze\u201d and performed some of the music from \u201cCrazy Heart\u201d on a streetconstructed stage.<\/p>\n

While she hesitates to categorize her music style, Jessie\u2019s latest album includes Bluegrass songs such as \u201cHeartbreakin\u2019 Heart\u2019 and \u201cSomething to Miss\u201d as well as titles \u201cLet It Breathe\u201d that\u2019s a cross between Pop and Bluegrass.<\/p>\n

Jessie grew up in Santa Barbara, CA and at fourteen, learned to play guitar from her dad,\u201c\u2026 my dad taught me to play guitar, it came pretty naturally to me\u2026we jammed together. I always had a love of music. It\u2019s something I value \u2013 a way to connect with yourself emotionally.\u201d<\/p>\n

Outside of music, Jessie has an unusual reason for having gone to culinary school; her favorite food is sandwiches. \u201cThey are the reason I went to culinary school, experimenting with different flavors.\u201d She doesn\u2019t consider herself a chef though, \u201cI graduated with high honors, but I just like to cook. I just love to cook and I do it well.\u201d<\/p>\n
