{"id":2080,"date":"2011-10-13T07:44:46","date_gmt":"2011-10-13T13:44:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/santafefilmfestival.com\/index\/?p=2080"},"modified":"2014-12-04T10:14:02","modified_gmt":"2014-12-04T17:14:02","slug":"sfff-curator-brent-kliewer-and-filmmaker-pawel-wendorff-at-zane-bennett-gallery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/santafefilmfestival.com\/index\/sfff-curator-brent-kliewer-and-filmmaker-pawel-wendorff-at-zane-bennett-gallery\/","title":{"rendered":"SFFF Curator Brent Kliewer and filmmaker Pawel Wendorff at Zane Bennett Gallery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Join us Friday afternoon (OCT 21) at 3P when the 12th Annual Santa Fe Film Festival presents an informal dialogue between Santa Fe Film Festival Director of Film Programming Brent Kliewer and Polish\u00a0director, cinematographer, screenwriter, and producer, Pawel Wendorff hosted by the <a title=\"Zane Bennett Gallery\" href=\"http:\/\/zanebennettgallery.com\/\">Zane Bennett Gallery<\/a> about the history of Polish and\u00a0Eastern European filmmaking within the socio-political context of Soviet Communist dominance and the current climate and trends in filmmaking since the Solidarity Movement, Gorbachev&#8217;s reforms in the Soviet Union and the eventual fall of Communism in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Wendorff will be screening his feature directorial debut, &#8220;<a title=\"Odd One Out\" href=\"http:\/\/santafefilmfestival.com\/index\/odd-one-out\/\">Odd One Out<\/a>&#8221; on Saturday October 22nd \u00a0at<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ccasantafe.org\/\"> CCA<\/a> followed by a Q &amp; A with the filmmaker as part of the 2011 Santa Fe Film Festival. A Graduate of the world-renowned \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Film School (1990), Wendorff&#8217;s<strong><em>\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>surreal comedy recalls the period of Poland&#8217;s Golden Age of Cinema that brought us \u00a0\u0141\u00f3d\u017a\u00a0alumni Wadja, Polanski, Kieslowski et al.<\/p>\n<p>The 12th Annual Santa Fe Film Festival Panel Series is open to the public with a suggested donation of $5.
