SANTA FE, N.M. – Nov. 22, 2021 –  Organizers of the Santa Fe Film Festival have announced that the upcoming festival will be in-person and virtual to accommodate all interested attendees and will run from February 3rd through the 13th of 2022. This year’s theme is the ‘art and science of filmmaking’ with panels, presentations, workshops, and more to be announced in the coming weeks, leading up to the festival.

With over 500 submissions coming in from 38 countries, the Festival’s program will offer screening blocks from shorts to docs to features to showcase the amazing work submitted.

New this year, the Festival will also hold two special screenings in Albuquerque to offer more options for festival-goers in other communities to enjoy the films that have been selected.

“This year, we wanted to continue to include films from our Festival and screen around the State of New Mexico with special events and screenings; this was well received at the 5th Annual TorC Film Fiesta where 2021 SFFF festival winners and New Mexican filmmakers were given the chance to have their films play on the big screen at the El Cortez theatre, we knew it was important to expand our footprint to bring cinema to communities,” said NaNi Rivera, Santa Fe Film Festival Chair.

Today, the festival is revealing the 2022 Poster art designed by Cecily Tasker and embodies the legacy of the Santa Fe Film Festival’s rich history in New Mexico for the past 40+ years.

New for fans of the Santa Fe Film Festival is their online store with current and past festival posters, “things that you hear on set,” and famous quotes available with SFFF branding.

Just in time for Giving Tuesday, the Festival will be offering a membership option for $100 for individuals or $500 for business and will include an exclusive SFFF lapel pin, 10% off ticket purchases, and a VIP Gift Bag.

The Festival’s Official selection announcement and all-access ticket sales will open up on December 1st, 2021. Individual ticket sales will be available starting January 15th, 2022.
