The Other Brother illuminates the extraordinary lives of Jesse and Tom Flowers. Jesse, solitary and troubled who found solace in little else but his art; Tom, successful artist and professor. Jesse’s work feels crowded, humorous and primordial; Tom’s feels open and contemporary. By pairing their artwork we see an artistic dialog that transcends decades of estrangement. We sense that Tom, looking through family photographs and Jesse’s artwork, gets to know his brother in a way he never knew him in life.
