Director Statement
My mission is to inspire young artists who are finding their way in a cutthroat, unforgiving world not to give up as well as help at-risk trans and nonbinary individuals who are currently under attack by over 240 anti-LGBTQ+ laws. I believe that films like Paul & Trisha – The Art of Fluidity can help educate conservative communities throughout the United States that seek to persecute LGBTQ+ members out of ignorance and fear.
I showed an early cut of the film to a very conservative evangelical woman who was moved and thoroughly engaged by Paul and Trisha’s candor and artistry. This only gives me hope we might affect more change in a positive way!
