Director Statement

As an independent storyteller, I have been a part of films of all genres. From straight horror to multicam sitcoms, I love taking an audience to a different world to help them escape from life’s hardships. When I was approached to direct “The Open Door,” I was excited to work with this team, but also saw the potential to transport the audience to a completely new world with this film. The script reminded me of the film version of Something Wicked This Way Comes as well as The Watcher In The Woods. These were films I enjoyed when I was young, but still am captivated by today; tales that were a bit scary but accessible enough to be enjoyed by audience members both young and old. We hope you enjoy “The Open Door” and are transported to a new, eerie, immersive world that lets you escape for a few minutes today.
