Max Highstein received a BA in Music (jazz piano) from Goddard College. Then an MA in Spiritual Psychology from University of Santa Monica, and another MA in Counseling from Antioch College.

In the mid 1980’s he starting making therapeutic guided imagery and music recordings. His second, The Healing Waterfall, became one of the most popular guided imagery programs ever recorded.

In the early 1990’s Highstein began putting his music front and center, featuring his keyboard playing, with woodwinds, strings, and percussion. His CDs Touch The Sky and Stars were some of the most heavily played music on the New Adult Contemporary Radio format of the time. More followed.

His current catalog of guided imagery recordings contains over 80 programs, and is published on Audible.com and on his website, TheHealingWaterfall.com.

Max’s music catalog currently contains 18 albums; the latest, Hotcakes, was released in fall of 2022.

Highstein’s music video production work began 5 years ago. His work tends toward light hearted, whimsical productions.
